Helpful Flutter Development Links
Just getting started with Flutter, or coming back to it after a few years away? Below are some helpful, current links related to the Flutter ecosystem.
The state of Flutter in 2026
A quick orientation before the links. The current stable release is Flutter 3.44 with Dart 3.12 (May 2026). Impeller is the default rendering engine on both iOS and Android, replacing Skia. Dart 3 brought sound null safety, records, patterns, and sealed classes, and removed the old Observatory debugger in favour of Dart DevTools. On the web, Flutter can compile to WebAssembly. The 3.44 release also started decoupling the Material and Cupertino libraries from the core framework and brought Flutter's AI developer tooling to production. If your mental model of Flutter dates from the 1.x or 2.x era, our State of Flutter in 2026 post covers what changed.
